Set aside powder sugar pack and empty Camerieri’s brand Zeppole Mix flour into a very large bowl, REMOVE YEAST pack and pour into 2 cups of WARM water, STIR & WAIT 2 MINUTES to activate yeast.
ADD water/yeast mix to the Zeppole mix bowl. MIX by hand or mixer set on low to a SMOOTH consistency. COVER bowl with plastic wrap over zeppole dough. Set aside for 45-60 min let rise.
Dough will triple in size and be sticky when ready to drop into the frying pan.
Fill a frying pan with one inch high of Canola Oil (vegetable oil). Heat oil to 350F degrees.
Tablespoon the dough, BE CAREFUL when you use your finger to scoop sticky dough off the spoon into the hot oil. Fry MINUTE AND A HALF each side to light golden brown. Set aside for cooling one to two minute on paper towel.
Sprinkle Zeppole with a good amount of powdered sugar. READY TO EAT and SHARE with family and friends.
